Dubai, UAE – May 2026: Pakistani nationals seeking to travel to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are facing increasingly stringent visa requirements, according to travel experts and diplomatic sources. The UAE government is reportedly tightening visa approvals due to evolving regional security dynamics and concerns over identity verification.

This shift follows a series of diplomatic talks between Islamabad and Abu Dhabi, as both nations seek to balance economic ties with growing security challenges. Pakistani businessmen, students, and tourists have reported delays in visa processing, along with requests for additional background checks.

A prominent travel consultant, Farah Malik of Emirates Gateway, says, “Pakistani applicants have seen a 30% drop in approvals this month compared to previous months.” She added that travelers should prepare for extra documentation, especially for those with business interests.

In recent years, UAE has been a key destination for Pakistani expatriates and tourists. However, with this new wave of visa concerns, analysts predict a slowdown in bilateral travel growth.
